Picasso-Cubism

We used the website Making Art Fun as inspiration for our Cubist art unit (thank you!). We studied Picasso's painting 'The Three Musicians'.
Teaching year 6 this year, hence the difference in artistic ability from previous posts (some may debate this!)
As a way of reviewing our art topic, we used the fabulous website getkahoot.com Students had to research and create 2 questions about Picasso or cubism that we then used to create this Kahoot.

A modern twist on Maori Koru pattern

Pastel & Dye Flowers

Very simple but effective. Great for brightening up a wall. Students drew flowers, coloured them in using bright pastels and then painted over them with leaf green dye. They took a lot longer to complete than anticipated, but worth the effort I think.

Recycled Paper Flowers

Very simple yet effective activity. We used recycled paper that we painted and cut into different sized circles that we then attached together with a split pin.
